Internship: Bouwen van AI Integration Agent

PROBLEEMSTELLING AI is overal, maar hoe kan het écht waarde toevoegen in een technische consultancy context? Kan het integratieteams helpen om sneller te werken, consistenter te documenteren en efficiënter te ontwikkelen? We willen nagaan hoe Agentic AI op een verantwoorde en schaalbare manier kan ingezet worden binnen IBM’s integratiestack. OPDRACHT - Opzetten van een afgebakende pilot met 2 AI-agents (Code Assistant & Research Agent). - Gebruik maken van IBM Watsonx als veilige, enterprise-ready AI-platform. - Prompt tuning en RAG gebruiken om bedrijfs-en technologie context toe te voegen. - Uitwerken van 1 of meerdere praktische use cases binnen integratietaken. - Gebruik van de Watson ADK. - Evaluatie van efficiëntiewinst en gebruiksvriendelijkheid. - Resultaten bundelen in een demo en presentatie. Internship: Observability in een hybrid cloud setup met IBM Instana

PROBLEEMSTELLING Meer en meer bedrijven draaien hun IT-systemen in een hybrid cloud topologie. Binnen een hybrid cloud topologie worden de verschillende systemen uitgerold binnen verschillende cloud vendors (AWZ, Azure, IBM Cloud) en on-premise. Een nadeel van deze topology is dat monitoring complexer wordt omdat de componenten op verschillende plaatsen draaien en op verschillende platformen/architecturen. IBM heeft sinds kort zijn eigen observability platform/tool namelijk IBM Instana Observability. IBM Instana Observability laat toe om heel je applicatie stack te monitoren op eender welk platform. Het gebruikt hier voor agents. De agents kunnen op de verschillende systemen geïnstalleerd worden. Dankzij hun AI capabilities sturen ze alle relevante data die ze maar kunnen vinden door naar de Instana backend. Op deze backend zijn er dashboards en andere views beschikbaar die je een compleet overzicht van je omgeving bieden. OPDRACHT We hebben een demo use case draaien binnen onze demo omgeving. Het doel van deze opdracht is om hiervoor Observability te configureren. Aan de hand van een analyse bepaal jij hoe en waar de Instana Agents zullen gedeployed worden. Daarna sta je in voor het creëren van application views & dashboards. Op het einde geef je een uitgebreide demo met presentatie. Hierin leg je uit hoe je de monitoring hebt opgezet over de gehele applicatie stack. Welke technologieën heb je onderliggend gebruikt en welke data stuur je allemaal naar IBM Instana en waarom? Tijdens de opdracht word je bijgestaan door een ervaren consultant. Stage omvat volgende technologieën: - IBM Instana Observability - Prometheus - OpenTelemetry - Openshift - Cloud provider naar keuze.

Internship: Integrating and automating a professional services organization

INTRODUCTION In this internship, you will design and implement integrations and automations for a professional services organization. You will work with the latest innovations in Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), public cloud, and Agentic AI. ASSIGNMENT The organization relies on a wide range of business systems and services to support internal processes across various areas, including HR, Marketing, Project Management, Finance, and Invoicing. To ensure smooth operations, the systems, business processes, and people involved must be seamlessly interconnected. You’ll integrate the different systems and automate business processes using the leading platform Workato. You will also research and develop AI agents on the platform to automate non-deterministic processes. The use case is built on our own internal system and processes. The goal of the internship is to go from proof of concept to actual production use. The following activities and deliverables are expected: - Researching iPaaS and the Workato platform - Analyzing business processes (Marketing Event Automation, Employee Onboarding, Order-to-Cash, Customer Follow-up, ...) -Integrating business systems into the iPaaS - Building and deploying business processes - Exploring Workato's AI Hub and its potential use cases - Building and deploying AI agents WHAT YOU WILL LEARN This internship will introduce you to a large set of emerging technologies in today’s IT market: - Leading iPaaS integration platform Workato. - You will get acquainted with enterprise platforms and tooling: Salesforce, Pipedrive, … - You will get acquainted with the leading public cloud AWS. - You will get introduced to Enterprise Integration, and architectural patterns like microservices, eventing, messaging and API Management. - Custom programming will be done in Javascript, Ruby or Python

Internship: Building a cloud-native internal Developer platform

INTRODUCTION Platform engineering is rapidly becoming a cornerstone of modern software delivery. It focuses on creating internal platforms that empower development teams with standardized, secure, and efficient workflows. In this internship, you will explore the principles of platform engineering by designing and implementing a complete proof-of-concept developer platform. You will work with Kubernetes hosted on either AWS or Azure and integrate key platform tools such as Backstage, ArgoCD, and GitHub. This internship will give you hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, GitOps workflows, and platform automation skills that are increasingly in demand across engineering organizations. INTERNSHIP ASSIGNMENT During this internship, you will: - Perform a deep dive into platform engineering concepts, including developer experience, platform abstraction, golden paths, and GitOps. - Provision and configure a Kubernetes cluster on AWS or Azure as the foundation of your platform. - Implement an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) using Backstage. - Integrate GitHub for source control and GitHub Actions runners for continuous integration. - Set up ArgoCD to enable GitOps-based deployments across environments. - Apply platform engineering and cloud architecture best practices throughout your implementation. - Supply chain security using Notary, in-toto, and image signing and attestation workflows. - Security and reliability enhancements, including SBOM generation and CI/CD security gates. Optionally, and depending on progress, you may extend the platform with advanced features such as: - Testkube for cloud-native testing automation. - Observability tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo.  OBJECTIVE The objective of this internship is to research, design, build, and evaluate a cloud-native internal developer platform. By the end of the internship, you will have a fully working proof of concept demonstrating how platform engineering improves developer experience, accelerates delivery, and increases system reliability. You will implement the platform using cloud-native tooling, automated workflows, and best practices in GitOps, CI/CD, and platform architecture. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN Throughout this internship, you will gain practical experience with: - Building Kubernetes-based platforms on AWS or Azure. - Core platform engineering concepts and best practices. - Backstage as an Internal Developer Platform and developer experience layer. - GitOps using ArgoCD. - Continuous integration using GitHub and self-hosted runners. - Automation, platform governance, and modern cloud deployment patterns. - Optional: observability stacks, cloud-native testing, and software supply chain security. DELIVERABLES - A fully deployed Kubernetes cluster on AWS or Azure. - A working Internal Developer Platform implemented with Backstage. - GitHub repositories and workflow structure aligned with platform engineering best practices. - ArgoCD configured with GitOps pipelines for one or more demo applications. - GitHub Actions tunners integrated for CI workflows. - Documentation of the platform architecture, implementation decisions, and operational workflows.

Internship: Building Intelligent Automation Agents for Professional Services

INTRODUCTION In this internship, you will explore the emerging field of Agentic AI and learn how intelligent agents can enhance automation capabilities in consultancy and professional services. Agentic AI represents the next wave of enterprise AI systems: agents that plan, reason, and act autonomously within a set of business constraints. By combining advanced AI models with robust data pipelines and enterprise platforms, Agentic AI opens opportunities for improving workflows such as client onboarding, reporting, and project management. You will research, design, and implement your own intelligent automation agent tailored to consultancy use cases. This internship will provide hands-on experience with enterprise-grade AI platforms, data integration, and modern deployment patterns.
